After the championship season, Under Armour kept up the momentum and introduced new technology with the release of the Curry 2 right before the following season began. A full-length Charged Cushioning midsole was the first of its kind on the basketball court. Curry wore this model while he led his team to a record-breaking 73-9 regular season in 2016.

As Under Armour continued to develop Curry’s signature shoe, the company began experimenting with different looks and fits. The Curry 5 was the first low-cut base model in the collection. The lightweight shoe is built for speed and agility and offers full-knit construction, which locks your foot in.  

No matter the brand, shoe technology will continue to progress. The Curry 6 is a prime example of game changing technology. Full-length Under Armour HOVR cushioning was added to the shoe giving explosive return and a zero-gravity feel on the court.

Now, in its seventh version, the Curry 7 features the best parts of past models as well as new groundbreaking features. Micro G cushioning was added, providing explosion to your cuts on the court. Also, an internal lining provides stability while different materials reinforce specifics parts of your foot.

Legacy

Stephen Curry has already proven himself to be the greatest 3-point shooter to ever play in the pros, making shots from what seems to be anywhere on the court. His legacy is filled with championships, MVPs, endless highlights, and a dynasty built around his game. Some have said that his game changed the way basketball is played and Under Armour has been matching that energy with the shoes they have created with his signature line.
