Reebok: A Focus on Transformation
A brand with roots in late 19th Century England, Reebok has evolved from a manufacturer of sport-specific footwear (track spikes, basketball shoes) to a company focused on general fitness and healthy lifestyle (tennis, golf, training). The name was borrowed from the Gray Rhebok, an African antelope to reflect speed and agility. Over the years, the brand’s graphic fingerprint transformed from a logo featuring the British Union Jack flag (still appearing on some Reebok shoe models today), to a triangular “delta” icon, and finally its popular and modern “vector” symbol with intersecting, curved lines presenting an immediately recognizable image.
