Hyperize
The hype of Nike Basketball continues to rise. The Nike Hyperize takes a leap forward where the tremendously popular Hyperdunk left off. Featuring the revolutionary Flywire technology, the Nike Hyperize takes a minimalistic approach to the upper, reducing weight, while increasing strength, stability, speed and breathability with the Vectran (stronger than Kevlar®) Flywire threads. The Hyperize also allows you to pound the hardwood in comfort by utilizing a full-length Phylon™ midsole with a Nike Zoom Air™ unit in the heel and LunarLite foam in the forefoot. A midfoot wedge and herringbone solid rubber outsole dish out superior lateral stability and traction as you slice through the lane. A hot design and fresh colorways will have you wanting to take your game to the street as well as the court. Live up to the hype in the Nike Hyperize from Eastbay!
Hyperize at Eastbay
22 colors, 20 sizes - only at Eastbay Last year's Nike Hyperdunk created a major stir when Kobe Bryant jumped over an Aston Martin and a pool of snakes while wearing them. Don't forget about Kobe and most of the USA hoops squad wearing the Hyperdunk when they took home the Gold Medal in Beijing. With all that Hype, Nike continued to bring the heat by dropping several limited colorways including the "McFly Hyperdunk" inspired by the kicks Marty wore on the Hoverboard in the1980's flick Back to the Future II.
Seems like a daunting task to follow one of the most marketed shoes in the history of basketball footwear but Senior Basketball Designer Leo Chang and the guys at Nike Basketball would be up for the challenge.
Last year Nike introduced Flywire technology which would prove to be a success, in bringing major stability and support to basketball players everywhere. The Flywire strands wrap the foot to provide high-strength support for superior lateral cuts and quickness, which is crucial for the high performance athlete.
The Nike Hyperize, the next generation or evolution of the Hyperdunk went through a bunch of changes to improve last year's instant classic. Less Flywire makes the Hyperize lighter and more flexible, while the open mesh windows were installed on the Hyperize to improve breathability of last year's Hyperdunk.
The midsole of the Hyperize is made of Phylite, a technology used in the Nike Free line as well as on many of the Lunar Foam running products, which tends not to wrinkle and is much more resilient than the Hyperdunk midsole.
The Hyperize features a glass fiber shank and a midfoot wedge that delivers great lateral support, while the injected heel counter provides improved heel stability and support on court. The Hyperize also offers a large Zoom Air bag (12mm) in the heel and Lunar Foam in the forefoot. The design and location of the cushioning is the same as the Hyperdunk, but the bag is bigger for increased cushioning. The rubber outsole features a herringbone bone pattern with horizontal and vertical flex grooves and a large pivot circle that allows the foot to perform and feel more natural, while offering maximum traction and durability.
On top of all the technical and visual advances, Eastbay is offering up a crazy selection of the Hyperize.
