Dwight Howard was born in Atlanta, Ga. and was a standout power forward at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, averaging 16.6 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 6.3 blocks in 129 games. In his senior season, Howard led his team to the state title and was considered the best high school player in the country. He was awarded the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award and the Morgan Wootten High School Player of the Year Award.

He was also named the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the McDonald's National High School Player of the Year. He was selected first overall by Orlando in the 2004 Draft and has consistently been near tops in the NBA in rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage, and free throw attempts. He led Orlando to three division titles and one conference title. In the 2008 Games, Dwight was the starting center for Team USA, which went on to win the gold medal. Dwight Howard was traded to Los Angeles in August 2012 where he spent one year. Injuries and a lack of cohesion resulted in a 45-37, well below expectations for a team that included several big name players. After the season, Howard signed as a free agent with Houston, joining a nucleus of young talent.

Inspired by Howard, the adidas D Howard 4 signature basketball shoe provides the stability for a big man, yet is lightweight and flexible for players looking to run the floor and play above the rim. This shoe features a comfortable and supportive synthetic leather upper and a SprintWeb welded frame that provides a stable base to help you keep your balance when you’re getting shoved around the basket. The outsole of the D Howard 4 utilizes Crazyquick technology that is extremely responsive, allowing you to land and go right back up for a rebound quicker than you could with other shoes.

This Dwight Howard shoe will be released in several colorways, including yellow/gold/blue. It includes a bright, flashy color palette and spiral wave design that reflects Howard’s abilities and personality on and off the court. Also featuring a DH4 logo, the D Howard 4 is a great shoe for anyone looking to make a statement with their game and their style. It is also miCoach compatible.
