Carmelo Kyam Anthony, nicknamed Melo, was born in the Red Hook Projects of Brooklyn, New York. After playing basketball at Baltimore's Towson Catholic High School and Oak Hill Academy, Anthony attended Syracuse University where he led his team to the 2003 National Championship. He left college for the pros the following year, and after only playing there his freshman year, Syracuse retired his (then) number 15. He was named to the All-Rookie team his first year after being drafted with the 3rd overall pick. Since then, Melo has been named an NBA All-Star eight times, and was the NBA scoring champ in 2013. Certainly one of the most hyped players of all-time, he's also one of the most complete offensive players you will ever see. That's why Melo demands a shoe that's as dynamic as he is; The Melo M11 allows for power and explosiveness around the rim due to enhanced FlightPlate technlogy, while a cushioned heel and Nike Zoom unit in the forefront allow for safe a and secure return to the floor.
