ASICS KAYANO

Runners with mild- to severe overpronation no longer need to look far and wide for a running shoe that balances their support needs with adequate, lightweight cushioning. The most recent revamp of this legendary line, the ASICS GEL-Kayano 19, builds on this legacy and carries with it a number of features to impress the avid runner.

The GEL-Kayano line is well known for it's great support and cushioning by no accident. The Kayano 19 furthers those ideals and adds two new key features: improved upper fit and serious weight-reduction.

Biomorphic Fit upper with lightweight, breathable mesh and tension-reducing discrete eyelets work together to provide a better fit and greater comfort. Two layers of memory foam line the collar and add an amazing level of personalization and comfort. Together these features are built into a seamless overlay construction to give the shoe a naturally comfortable fit.

An exoskeletal heel counter improves support and keeps the heel snug. Solyte material in the midsole is lighter than standard midsole compounds while providing greater cushioning and durability. This works with the DuoMax Support System, which enhances stability and support.

The newly added Guidance Trusstic System in the sole is built to decrease weight, improve durability, and provide greater support. A Guidance Line runs the length of the sole to reduce weight and aid gait efficiency by allowing the sole to move naturally with your foot.

ASICS High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) is used in high-contact areas for greater durability in the outsole, while a modified AHAR compound is placed in the forefoot for increased cushioning.

As always, the GEL-Kayano 19 comes loaded with ASICS GEL in the rear- and forefoot, which reduces the shock from impact and toe-off, and allows a greater range of natural movement as your foot transitions through the gait cycle.

We've come to expect great things from the GEL-Kayano, and this newest running shoe from ASICS lives up to that name.
